Mike Kain is a distinguished engineer and the security architect for the ClearPath MCP product line as well as a security architect for the ClearPath Forward and Fabric products. Mike’s career with Unisys has spanned over 33 years in the areas of computer security and networking. Mike concentrates on all areas of security: authentication, auditing, networking, use of cryptography, key management, export control, and system assessment and scanning.
Mike is one of the leaders of the Security Vulnerability team within Technology as well as one of the leaders of the Security TSG (a meeting of lead Technology architects to discuss various topics and provide guidance about security). Mike also co-holds 6 patents in the areas of networking and networking collaboration. He has submitted Innovation ideas in the areas of security for the Internet of Things (IoT), BlockChain, and the Public Sector campaigns.
Mike is an adjunct teaching professor at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has been teaching computer networks (both undergraduate and graduate) and operating systems (graduate) since 1995.
Mike holds a B.S. in Computer Science (minor in Math) from the University of Delaware (1986) and an M.S. in Computer Science from Drexel University (1996).
