Unisys and ServiceNow Join Forces to Help Transform Public Sector Services and Protect Families in Need
Unisys FamilyNow™ to integrate with the ServiceNow enterprise cloud for enhanced support of social workers, improved decision-making for social-services agencies and better outcomes for families
NowForum London, October 12, 2017 – Unisys Corporation today announced that it is teaming with ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW) to support the delivery of Unisys FamilyNow™. The Unisys solution will be supported by the ServiceNow cloud to enable child- protection organisations to transform how they deliver services to children and families in need through a new, user-friendly capability designed to improve outcomes.
FamilyNow uses modern technology to rapidly deploy emerging best practices that protect families and prevent loss of life. FamilyNow transforms the way social care organisations deliver services by applying analytics, automation and intuitive navigation to help professionals manage caseloads, citizens get self-service, and families obtain the right services for their situation. The ServiceNow cloud platform supports workers and families in taking full advantage of FamilyNow to achieve the best outcome for the family.
FamilyNow modules include intake, investigation, case management, eligibility, financial management, provider management and administration. The solution suite also includes portals, tools and privacy protections needed for information sharing, as well as mobile solutions for field workers, care providers, and birth parents.
The automation features of FamilyNow dramatically reduce the inaccuracies caused by manual data entry typically found in older systems, and thereby deliver a better outcome more efficiently for client families. In addition, FamilyNow provides a localisation framework that brings together global leading social-work practice with local policy, process, language and organisation constructs.
By integrating the ServiceNow platform with FamilyNow, social services agencies will get rapid access to digital technologies so that social workers enable rapid, high-quality support for field workers.
Unisys will present the solution today at NowForum London, where the company is a Gold Sponsor. Paer Johansson, director of Advisory Services for Service Management in EMEA for Unisys, will present the solution as part of The Public Sector Forum, hosted by Chris Pope, ServiceNow's vice president of Innovation, who commented: "FamilyNow is a game-changing solution for family and child services providers across Europe, and we're very pleased to partner with Unisys to support it. The solution gives social security organisations the ability to innovate cost-effectively so they can review data and make decisions quickly to protect the vulnerable in our society."
Shawn Kingsberry, vice president, Digital Government and Citizen Services, Unisys, said: "Across Europe and the UK, there has been dramatic growth in social-care needs. FamilyNow eases the strain on the public sector organisations working hard to support children and adults on a daily basis. With the additional support of the ServiceNow enterprise cloud platform, social services workers will be better able to leverage their knowledge and insights in order to realise faster and better resolutions of crisis situations."
