​Maria Sitaramayya leads the Human Resources function across Asia Pacific in addition to leading two key global initiatives: HR Shared Services and HR Digital Transformation and Talent Growth and Leadership development.

In her Asia Pacific role Maria is responsible for providing end to end Human Resources support for more than 8000 associates across 13 countries in the region. Her responsibilities include leading a team of HR professionals to provide Strategic HR Business Partner support to leaders, country HR operations teams and Centre of Excellence support functions for talent acquisition, global rewards and career development via Unisys University.

In her global role she leads the Talent Growth and Leadership Development team to identify, assess, develop and retain key talent through proactive sourcing strategies, targeted programs and initiatives. In particular the team focuses on strengthening skills in key roles to grow the company’s leadership capability.

She also leads the Global HR Shared Services team to provide a range of HR support services throughout the organisation designed to make it easier for people to raise HR questions and get a swift response through new globally consistent tools and processes.

Maria has Over 20 years of experience in HR across all strategic and operational aspects of HR. She is a versatile HR leader who has worked across generalist and specialist areas of HR with demonstrated results in leading and driving complex business transformations. She has a proven track record and specific specialization in the technology sector within Global multi-national companies. Maria has worked in complex, global and matrix organizations across Asia Pacific, US and Emerging Markets regions. She has been the key business partner to an organization with a specific focus on building organizational capability through deployment of key HR strategies.

Maria is passionate about creating a positive employee experience as well as attracting and supporting a diverse workforce where all people feel included.

Maria has a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Psychology from the University of Sydney. She has also completed post graduate studies in Human Resources.
