Enhanced Unisys software technology combines performance boost with unsurpassed security
BLUE BELL, Pa., May 8, 2017 – Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced that Raytheon Company has purchased new-generation Unisys ClearPath Forward™ technology for its Global Patriot™ Solutions program for missile defense.
Raytheon will use the ClearPath Forward technology to develop software to help improve the performance of the combat-proven Patriot Air and Missile Defense System.
Unisys ClearPath Forward is a secure, scalable, hardware-independent software environment for high-volume enterprise computing. The new-generation ClearPath Forward technology that Raytheon has purchased uses a software-based fabric architecture for faster and more efficient interconnection of components across the computing infrastructure.
The new-generation ClearPath Forward technology boosts system performance while delivering the unmatched security of the ClearPath OS 2200 operating environment. The ClearPath operating environments are the only ones on the market in which user data has never been forcibly extracted.1
