Puvvada selected for increased leadership role following re-election to industry group's board of directors

BLUE BELL, Pa., December 23, 2016Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) announced today that Venkatapathi "PV" Puvvada, president of Unisys Federal, was re-elected to a new three-year term on the Professional Services Council (PSC) board of directors and newly elected to serve on its executive committee.

PSC is an industry trade group that represents the interests of technology and professional services companies serving the federal government. Its executive committee is a subgroup of the PSC board that makes decisions on behalf of the full board between board meetings.

In addition, Puvvada was appointed to chair PSC's Civilian Agencies Council that focuses on the acquisition policies and strategies of federal civilian agencies, including the departments of Homeland Security, Veterans Affairs, Health and Human Services, and Energy.

PSC serves as the voice of the government technology and professional services industry, representing more than 400 member companies, and is a respected industry leader on legislative and regulatory issues related to government acquisition, business and technology. PSC helps shape public policy, leads strategic coalitions and works to build consensus between government and industry.

"With a new administration coming to Washington with a new set of priorities and plans, the role of the PSC and industry leaders like PV will be critical," said David Berteau, president and CEO of the PSC. "The PSC and its members welcome PV's continued contribution to our board of directors and his new role leading our very important work with federal civilian agencies."

Puvvada has been widely recognized for his many contributions to the federal IT community. In addition to his work with the PSC, he has been active as a leader of the Industry Advisory Council, a public-private partnership organization dedicated to advancing government and industry partnership through the improved application of information technology. Last year, Federal Computer Week recognized his work by naming him the 2015 industry recipient of the prestigious Eagle Award, an annual award recognizing "the best of the best" of those who have made significant contributions to federal government IT.

"I welcome this opportunity to expand my work with PSC and to continue contributing to its important work on behalf of the federal technology community," Puvvada said. "I would like to thank the PSC membership for re-electing me to the board, and I look forward to working with my peers in the coming year to advance the interests of federal technology companies and our clients."
