Unisys Appoints Eduardo Almeida as Vice President and General Manager for Latin America
IT industry leader to focus on growing Unisys business in Latin America by helping drive digital transformation for clients
SÃO PAULO and BLUE BELL, Pa., October 3, 2017 – Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced Eduardo Almeida has joined the company as Vice President and General Manager for Latin America. In this role, Eduardo will be responsible for leading and expanding Unisys business in the region, which currently represents 10 percent of the company's global revenue. Almeida is based in São Paulo and reports directly to Eric Hutto, senior vice president and president, Enterprise Solutions.
Almeida brings to Unisys more than 20 years of experience in the information technology industry, having worked in multicultural environments and on international projects in countries including Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile and Peru. He held increasingly prominent positions during his 19 years with Cisco, having led functions including sales, marketing, services and channels for the Latin American region. Almeida also led Extreme Networks operations in Brazil and Southern Cone, and most recently served as general sales director at Genesys.
Almeida holds a Computer Science degree from Universidade Mackenzie and a specialization in Marketing and Business strategy from FIA (Fundação Instituto de Administração). He also earned a Master of Business Administration from FGV (Fundação Getúlio Vargas).
