Unisys Announces Leadership Appointments for Key Government Sector Positions

Mark A. Forman joins as global head of Unisys Public Sector; Jennifer L. Napper joins as group VP of DoD and Intelligence Group within Unisys Federal

BLUE BELL, Pa., July 22, 2015Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced two key leadership appointments in its government sector organizations. Unisys government business represented approximately 44 percent of the company's total revenue in the first quarter of 2015.

Mark A. Forman is joining the company as global head of Unisys Public Sector. Jennifer L. Napper has joined Unisys as group vice president of the Department of Defense and Intelligence Group within Unisys Federal.

"We are excited to have Mark and Jennifer join Unisys as leaders in these key positions," said Peter Altabef, Unisys president and CEO. "In addition to their deep industry experience and subject matter expertise, both Mark and Jennifer offer the leadership skills and passion for service excellence that will be critical to delivering integrated, innovative solutions that meet client needs in our focused industries."

Mark A. Forman, Global Head, Public Sector

Forman has responsibility for leading the company's global Public Sector business, which represented 26 percent of the company's total revenue in the first quarter of 2015 and comprises all non-U.S. Federal government clients, including U.S. state and local agencies and international governments. He will report to Ron Frankenfield, president, Unisys Enterprise Solutions.

Formerly administrator of the Office of E-Government and IT (now known as the Federal government's CIO) in the George W. Bush administration, where he won recognition for transforming and modernizing U.S. federal government IT operations, Forman has a strong reputation for understanding how to apply technology and management best practices within industry and government agencies. In a 30-year career, he has successfully directed analytics-driven programs that enable clients to improve business and service efficiency.

Serving most recently as vice president, IT Services and Cloud Solutions at Engility, Forman has also held senior national and global leadership positions at KPMG and IBM. He also co-founded and led his own cloud computing and IT consulting companies.

Forman is a member of multiple boards and advisory councils and is a fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration. In 2013, the American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) honored him with the prestigious Janice K. Mendenhall Spirit of Leadership Award for his contributions to the federal IT community.

"Governments around the world must respond to an increasing array of complex issues that transcend borders, while meeting citizens' expectations for increased quality of services and efficiency," Forman said. "Unisys is well positioned to be the global leader in addressing these needs, and I look forward to accomplishing this by building on Unisys's strong competencies and technology in justice, law enforcement, border security, social services and other core government mission areas."

Jennifer L. Napper, Group Vice President, Department of Defense and Intelligence Group

Napper leads all account management, solution delivery and business-growth activities for the Unisys Federal organization serving clients in the United States Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence communities. Unisys Federal represented 18 percent of the company's total revenue in the first quarter of 2015 and the DoD and Intelligence Group accounted for approximately 20 percent of Unisys Federal revenue in that quarter. Napper reports to Venkatapathi Puvvada, president, Unisys Federal.

Napper retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of Major General after 30 years of distinguished service. During her career, she successfully led large, diverse organizations with responsibility for planning, engineering, operating, maintaining and securing regional and global IT and communications networks.

Napper completed her military tenure as director of Policy, Plans and Partnerships for the U.S. DoD Cyber Command after serving as commander of the Army's Network Enterprise Technology Command. She has extensive experience in cybersecurity. While serving as commander of the Army's 7th Signal Command, she established and enforced standardized information assurance polices and instituted a new security architecture for 700,000 devices on 37 Army installations throughout the U.S.

Prior to joining Unisys, Napper was vice president and deputy general manager, Defense Solutions, at L-3 Communications.

Napper has received numerous military awards and decorations, culminating with the Distinguished Service Medal. In 2013 she was named to the Federal Computer Week "Federal 100," an annual award recognizing those who have made significant contributions to federal government IT.

"I am excited by this opportunity to join Unisys, a company known for setting the standard for both service quality and innovation," Napper said. "Defense and intelligence agencies need new, more cost-effective approaches to delivering IT solutions and defending against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. I look forward to working with the Unisys team to meet the challenge and grow our business in the DoD and intelligence community."
