​Unisys Advanced Analytics Enable Somos to Identify Business Trends and Support its Toll-Free Number Registry

BLUE BELL, Pa., August 2, 2016Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced that it is providing Somos, Inc. with a cloud-enabled Unisys Advanced Analytics solution that allows Somos to better support its business.

A longtime Unisys client, Somos administers a database of 40 million toll-free numbers, as well as a growing registry of text-enabled toll-free numbers, for more than 400 service providers throughout the United States and Canada.

The Unisys solution is integral to Somos' evolution to a digital business model, in which components of IT services are integrated to capture business information that can be analyzed and used quickly for delivery of new client and partner services. Unisys delivers the solution on an "as a service" basis at lower cost than Somos' prior third-party business-intelligence solution.

The Unisys analytics solution receives terabytes of Somos operational information daily, including search and reservations activity by toll-free service providers, system utilization, and event information from the Somos help desk. Unisys data scientists use advanced analytics technology to discern usage patterns that Somos can use to quickly expand and target the services it provides.
