Unisys Names Dheeraj Kohli as Global Leader for Travel and Transportation
LONDON, UK, June 3, 2016 – Unisys Corporation today announced that Dheeraj Kohli has joined the company as vice president and global leader for its Travel and Transportation vertical industry business.
In his new role, Kohli is responsible for assessing existing services, developing new vertical offerings and setting the strategic vision for the company’s well-established travel and transportation business. He is focused on identifying market expansion opportunities, including driving investments into segments beyond the company’s core airline, airport, cargo and logistics footprint. Kohli reports to Kelly Cook, global head of Unisys’ Commercial Sector business.
Prior to joining Unisys, Kohli directed the aviation sector for Capgemini in North America and expanded the company’s vertical footprint in the region. In that role, he oversaw a team of sales and solution architects that cut across all service lines, including activities related to digital go-to-market, identifying and evangelising digital business and piloting emerging technologies and innovations relevant to the industry. Throughout his 27-year career, Kohli has held several senior leadership positions supporting travel and transportation clients, with experience spanning the airline, airport, online travel agency, rail, rental car and hospitality segments in Singapore, South Africa, Canada, India and the United States.
“We are very pleased to have Dheeraj join Unisys,” said Cook. “He brings not only a strong understanding of the travel and transportation industry, but also a truly impressive track record of leadership, innovation, consulting experience and technology expertise. I am confident that with his guidance, we will strengthen and expand upon Unisys’ ability to provide superior service in a key vertical market for the company.”
“With such a long-standing background and deep-rooted IT expertise within the travel and transportation industry, Unisys is uniquely well-positioned to help current and prospective clients address their key IT and business challenges,” said Kohli. “I am looking forward to leveraging Unisys’ global solutions capabilities and expanding our strategic focus in this area.”
Unisys has more than 45 years of experience providing advanced IT solutions to the aviation industry. More than 200 airlines rely on Unisys services and solutions and a quarter of the world’s air passengers check in for their flights using Unisys systems.
