Unisys Continues to Support Turkish Airlines to Further Improve Check-In Process and Boost Customer Service Amid Global Expansion
Flexible Check-In Assistant passenger processing platform improves agent assisted check-in process and enhances customer satisfaction
London, March 9, 2016 – Unisys Corporation has successfully implemented its Check-In Assistant (CKA) for Turkish Airlines, awarded best airline in Europe for the consecutive past five years. Turkish Airlines is now using CKA at more than 60 airports globally to standardise and simplify check-in processes, speed-up staff on-boarding and improve agent satisfaction.
The fastest-growing airline in Europe (*), Turkish Airlines needed a technology partner who could deliver a versatile, scalable solution that provided check-in agents with an easy-to-use front-end platform.
Additionally, the Unisys CKA application offers multifunctional user modes from an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) – meaning user training is reduced to just two days, allowing minimal impact to airport operations. This ease of onboarding is critical as Turkish Airlines continues to grow and expand rapidly into new territories, requiring quick and easy training of new staff in multiple languages, across multiple regions.
Check-In Assistant is part of the Unisys Airport Passenger Facilitation Suite designed to improve flow and satisfaction across the air passenger journey. Unisys has more than 45 years of experience providing advanced IT solutions to the aviation industry. Eighteen of the top 25 global airlines rely on Unisys services and solutions and a quarter of the world’s air passengers check in for their flights using Unisys systems.
“The feedback we’ve received from airport station managers and their staff has been very positive. The minimal disruption potential to their operations has been gradually decreased and the check-in staff have the ability to quickly access all of the features and functions they need to serve our customers,” said Kerem Kızıltunç, senior vice president of corporate development and IT at Turkish Airlines.
“Our relationship with Unisys has been very successful and their project team has understood our needs and delivered a solution that integrates with our existing infrastructure with minimal impact to our airport staff,” continued Kızıltunç. “Furthermore, Unisys has provided a phased methodology and followed a strict deployment plan that allow us to quickly deploy across our locations, even very remote ones. We look forward for further support and collaboration from Unisys in the years ahead.”
Haakan Andersson, director of airports, Unisys Global Transportation, said, “We’re really excited to be supporting the fastest growing airline in Europe(*) to consolidate its impressive global network expansion, whilst providing world-class customer service. With the global remit we have, we’re able to effectively scale to support deployment across the existing 60 countries and in to the future as our relationship continues.”
