​​MASkargo Selects Cloud-based Unisys Logistics Management System for Domestic and International Cargo Operations

​Malaysian cargo carrier to replace legacy cargo management system with Unisys modern cloud-based service

Kuala Lumpur, 20 January, 2015 Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced that Malaysian air cargo carrier MASkargo has selected the cloud-based Unisys Logistics Management System (LMS) to manage its domestic and international cargo services.

A new Unisys client, MASkargo is the cargo division of national carrier Malaysia Airlines. It is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur and serves almost 100 destinations worldwide.

Under the contract with Malaysian Airline System Berhad, Unisys will replace MASkargo's current in-house mainframe-based system with the cloud-based LMS service. The Unisys system will interface with MASkargo's automated robotic warehouse and revenue management systems.

The cloud-based delivery model allows airlines to reduce costs compared to running in-house systems, and enables enhancements to be deployed each month and made immediately available to clients. The cloud model also helps drives community collaboration in software development among airline clients and enables airlines to respond quickly to constantly changing air cargo industry requirements.
