Raising Awareness of Corporate Social Responsibility

On August 21, 2020, the Latin America team presented the first edition of the Unisys Music Festival (UMF). Hosted from São Paulo by regional Marketing Director Marcos Santos, this unprecedented, live communication platform is designed to raise awareness of corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects that Unisys Cares sponsors as a platform to talk about culture, sport, diversity and citizenship.

This first virtual broadcast reached more than 120 associates and special guests. It highlighted initiatives that 12 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) have undertaken to support people in need. In fact, four of those NGOs participated in the live broadcast. In addition, talented Unisys associates delivered great vocal and instrumental performances.​

The Latin America festival’s debut received high praise and positive feedback from associates and sparked other countries' interest in participating in upcoming editions.

“At the Unisys Music Festival, music and citizenship came together to raise awareness about a topic that is very important to Unisys: how we can positively impact the lives of thousands of elderly, teenagers, and children through our CSR projects. Several NGOs we support had the chance to convey a positive message about the work they proudly do and present exceptional results they achieve– inspiring all of us to embrace these causes. In between these presentations, our associates also presented their musical talents by playing and singing songs – from Brazilian Pop music to International Rock n´ Roll. This is just the beginning, the next UMF is already being planned and the instruments tuned for another edition of this superb musical.”
