On September 24th, 2022, 20 Unisys associates completed a 27 km hike across the Chiltern Hills in the UK to raise awareness and funds for Mind UK. This charity supports those suffering from mental health problems in the UK. Together, two runners and 18 hikers raised over £5,000. At the end of the hike, the associates met at the finish line to receive their medals and event T-shirt and gathered for a celebratory BBQ dinner.
Jo May and Sam Wood organized the event and spent eight weeks helping associates prepare for the hike. The associates who participated in this event could meet each other for the first time or reconnect.
“We’re extremely passionate about involving people in the community, so organizing the Unisys event was an absolute pleasure. Thanks, everyone, for a brilliant day. Team Unisys rocks,” said Sam and Jo.
