|BLUE BELL, Pa., July 16, 2015 –
Unisys Stealth™ has been named the recipient of the Frost & Sullivan 2015 North American Encrypted Network Security Solutions New Product Innovation Award. The Frost & Sullivan New Product Innovation Awards, to be presented today in Boston, recognize new product innovation based on products' attributes as well as the benefits they present to users.
Unisys Stealth was selected for the award by Frost & Sullivan based on a number of criteria, including product reliability, price/performance value, customer experience, product design and market position. Frost & Sullivan also noted that Stealth provides a unique approach to security that addresses an urgent need of enterprises and government organizations.
"While several peer vendors are more focused on developing and implementing solutions that detect security issues after they've occurred, Unisys is more focused on making information-rich targets invisible in the networks," said Sonia Francisco, senior research analyst, Frost & Sullivan. "Unlike other solutions that are based on topologies, the groundbreaking innovation of Unisys Stealth is designed on the principles of authentication and authorization, ultimately concealing the networks from prying eyes."
The Unisys Stealth family of products helps clients counter advanced threats and is a component of an integrated Unisys Security Solutions portfolio of advanced products, trusted professional services and efficient managed services. Stealth uses advanced security technologies to help organizations mitigate attacks by cryptographically segmenting devices, data and end users on the network. The solution establishes secure "communities" within an enterprise so that only authorized users can access information. Not only does Stealth encrypt the data, but it can remove it from the entire attack surface.
The Stealth(core) offering is the enterprise-class, software-defined technology that provides the base for a family of products: Stealth(cloud), Stealth(compute) and Stealth(mobile). Stealth can be used to micro-segment the data center to reduce risks posed by insider threats, advanced persistent threats and supply chain vulnerabilities. Stealth is also used for data center consolidation, protection of legacy systems such as Microsoft Windows XP, and to protect critical workloads in the cloud. Across its many use cases, Stealth's software-based and identity managed approach helps clients reduce risk, complexity, cost and compliance scope.
The recognition from Frost & Sullivan represents the second innovation award for Stealth this year. In May, Stealth was named the winner of the
Northern Virginia Technology Council 2015 Destination Innovation Award in the Safety & Security category. In 2014, Unisys Stealth won the
American Business Awards People's Choice competition as well as the Silver Award in the new security software category, and was selected for the TechAmerica Foundation
American Technology Award in cybersecurity innovation.
"With this award, Frost & Sullivan has recognized how Stealth's advanced approach to security is solving many of today's most urgent security challenges faced by the world's most important enterprises," said Tom Patterson, vice president for global security solutions, Unisys (NYSE: UIS). "As Frost & Sullivan noted in its analysis of Stealth, it not only can dramatically reduce the attack surface presented to intruders, but it also can greatly mitigate losses from insider and advanced threats by preventing access to the organization's most critical assets. These are growing necessities in government and industry where Unisys can deliver innovative protection."
