Venkatapathi Puvvada

Venkatapathi "PV" Puvvada is the president of Unisys Federal, a role he has been in since July 2014. As the president of Unisys Federal, PV is responsible for all aspects of the business operations including go to market, delivery and P&L management.

Under PV's leadership, Unisys Federal business transformed into an innovative and best in class solutions provider in the market. Global analyst firm IDC ranks Unisys Federal as a leading systems integrator focused on delivering next generation technology solutions with high client satisfaction levels. Washington Technology magazine also selected Unisys Federal as a recipient of the 2017 WT Innovators Award honoring the most innovative companies in the industry. 

Previously, PV served as group vice president for the company's federal civilian agency business since 2010. From 2005 to 2010, he was managing partner and chief technology officer for Unisys Federal, overseeing the company's federal solutions portfolio and service delivery excellence.

A vocal advocate of using technology to help federal agencies serve U.S. citizens, PV has served in various leadership positions at several technology-related industry groups and has won numerous awards for his contributions. He currently serves as the chairman of the board of directors of the Professional Services Council, a group that advocates on behalf of the federal professional and technical contracting services community and industry. Previously, he served as chairman of the Industry Advisory Council, a public-private partnership organization dedicated to advancing government through the application of information technology.

PV's contributions have been recognized through numerous industry awards. He is a four-time winner of the Federal Computer Week Federal 100 Award and the Industry Eagle Award winner in 2015. He is also a four-time winner of the Executive Mosaic Wash100 Award that recognizes a group of industry leaders "who drive growth at the intersection of the public and private sectors." In 2010, he was named Government Contractor CTO Innovator of the Year in the large business category by the Northern Virginia Technology Council and Washington Technology magazine.

PV holds a master's in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
