Unisys helped develop the Cybersecurity Moonshot – a set of recommendations for a "whole of nation approach" for a safer, more resilient internet to deliver government and critical infrastructure services by 2028. On November 14, 2018, Unisys Chair and CEO Peter Altabef and Mark McLaughlin of Palo Alto Networks, the co-chairs of The President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC) team that developed the recommendations, delivered the draft report to the White House.

Peter currently serves as co-chair of the Technology & Innovation Committee of the Committee for Economic Development (CED).
