Our Portfolio

Unisys offers a range of solutions designed to optimize your ClearPath and Enterprise Server deployments.

ClearPath Mainframe Servers

Unisys ClearPath mainframes handle some of the world’s most demanding mission-critical workloads, delivering scalable, reliable, and secure real-time infrastructure. Security is exceptional, as common breaches are avoided via the native system architecture, thus reducing costs while optimizing protection. These systems provide significant vertical scalability, supporting mixed workloads consisting of hundreds of applications, processing exceptionally high volume transactions and requirements under a single operating system. ClearPath environments support an extensive range of standard and de facto standard interfaces, allowing participation in distributed environments, including SOA implementations.

ClearPath servers deliver leading business model options. With our Pay-for-Use business models based on metering technology, you pay only for the exact amount of resources you use, as you use them. Extra processing power – delivered with your system – is “always on” and available instantly.

With ClearPath Cloud: Development and Test – a unique Unisys enterprise class hosted public cloud, CIOs can optimize the allocation of their investments across their ClearPath application portfolio, gain additional flexibility and deliver accelerated functionality to their business.

Through Specialty Engines for ClearPath mainframes, you can take advantage of the latest technology to deliver application-specific performance for Java, Message Queuing, Cryptography, web/web services and intelligent device integration, supported by industry-leading security and resilience.

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) for ClearPath

These solutions let you rapidly extend your business applications to new markets, partners, and channels.

ClearPath Professional Services

ClearPath professional services complement the hardware and software platforms by helping clients use the products most effectively. A number of service competencies are available: SOA Services, Modernization Services, Application Environments and Development Tools Services, Systems Management and Automation Services, Business Continuance/Disaster Recovery Services, Infrastructure Performance Services, Security Services, and Platform Implementation Services.

  • Service Oriented Architecture Services

The SOA and Modernization competencies are each concerned with integrating ClearPath systems with others in distributed applications. The SOA competency is aimed at taking an architectural view of integration and comprises a range of services from initial client discussions at a business level, analysis of requirements, proof of concept projects, through to implementation and deployment. The scope is not restricted to ClearPath systems but includes any environment containing at least one ClearPath system.

  • Modernization Services
Modernization is concerned with refreshing and extending existing applications in ClearPath environments. The services may be steps on the way to SOA engagements, or just concerned with a limited amount of integration, such as opening applications to new clients like Web services and providing new end-user interfaces.
  • Application Environments and Development Tools Services
These services are concerned with ensuring optimal use of the various application environments with ClearPath systems. It includes deploying current development environments such as the Eclipse IDE to replace earlier tools. Migration from EAE to AB Suite environment is also provided in this service set.
  • Systems Management and Automation Services
These services are concerned with managing and automating environments containing ClearPath systems, as well as other platforms. The services address the whole process from initial discussion and analysis to implementation. Services include comprehensive Operation Sentinel and Enterprise Output Manager Services.
  • Business Continuance and Disaster Recovery Services
These services are concerned with ensuring IT service continuity in the event of any failure or other contingency. The scope extends from the loss of a single component up to complete loss of a data centre and the subsequent move to a disaster recovery facility.
  • Infrastructure Performance Services
These services are concerned with ensuring that ClearPath systems perform at the optimum and most cost-effective level, both on their own and in integrated environments. Services can address everything from overall system performance to database tuning, application tuning, metering and performance, and capacity management.
  • Security Services
These services help clients to capitalize on the extensive security features of ClearPath systems and how they can be used in a distributed environment. Security is a major concern in the IT industry today, especially among the typical ClearPath users who frequently operate in sensitive environments.
  • ClearPath Platform Implementation Services
Platform Implementation comprises the services required to keep the platform up to date. It includes services such as installation of new releases and recommended updates and corrections. These services form an essential base for the other competencies, which are more specifically concerned with the journey toward a real-time enterprise.
