Bart De Maertelaere

Bart De Maertelaere has more than 17 years of expertise in the IT industry. He’s worked on development and operational management of critical military systems, network and service management systems for the telecommunications industry, service delivery management of network and application security systems in the government and financial sectors, business management, strategy definition, and solution portfolio management.

Bart De Maertelaere is a Vice President and Partner at Unisys Corporation where he leads the IT outsourcing strategy and portfolio group at the global level. His responsibilities include assessing the market from a client and competitor point of view, defining the IT outsourcing strategy for Unisys, defining the winning portfolio of services, and development and management of that portfolio with clear hand-offs to both Sales and Delivery.

Bart has more than 17 years of expertise in the IT industry. He’s worked on development and operational management of critical military systems, network and service management systems for the telecommunications industry, service delivery management of network and application security systems in the government and financial sectors, business management, strategy definition, and solution portfolio management.

Prior to joining Unisys, Bart served as an officer in the Belgian Air Force; worked as a software project manager at NATO; was a practice principal for telecommunications solutions and business integration at Compaq Global Services; served as the head of global deliver at Ubizen; and worked as a country manager at Hewlett-Packard.

Bart studied aeronautical sciences at the Royal Military Academy in Brussels and real-time programming in Siegen, Germany. He also participated in the Program Management Institutes in San Diego and Washington, D.C and has an ITIL Foundation Certification.
