Weather Displays

Unisys offers two SkyView display products. SkyView for Cable TV is a highly specialized product for TV weather, while our standard SkyView product is a meteorological tool for the display/analysis of radar and satellite data.

SkyView for Cable TV 

Don’t make your customers wait for local weather on the other stations; provide them the information instantly whenever they want it. Our SkyView for Cable and Closed Circuit TV provides continuous local weather. And it can be configured easily to display weather information the way you want it – including branding such as background and logos.

The standard configuration provides current local conditions, local forecast and looping local radar images. More images can be inserted easily into the continuous show, including advertising, messages or more weather data. And SkyView for Cable TV runs on your own computer – you have complete control, unlike other products that provide only a browser interface to their websites. We deliver continuous, real-time weather data over an FTP connection from the Unisys Weather Data Center.

SkyView

When you need to view or analyze archived or real-time radar data, we provide one of the best solutions available. Unisys SkyView displays archived NEXRAD weather radar data from the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), or real-time NEXRAD radar, National and Regional radar mosaics and GOES weather satellite data.

Unisys SkyView is our low-cost, off-the-shelf weather display solution. A full-featured Windows software package, SkyView provides acquisition, display, manipulation and looping of all NIDS products available from the NEXRAD radars, as well as Unisys value-added national and regional radar Mosaic products and GOES imagery.

SkyView is used with a Unisys weather data source (usually via the Internet) or with National Climatic Data Center supplied archived NEXRAD radar data.
