Unisys Signs Malmö Aviation to Five-Year IT Outsourcing Agreement


Services intended to provide real-time support for IT infrastructure enabling secure business operations and enhancing Malmö Aviation’s competitive position

BLUE BELL, Pa., April 25, 2006 – Swedish airline Malmö Aviation has signed a five-year contract for Unisys (NYSE: UIS) to provide outsourced management of the company’s IT operations. The five-year agreement has a value to Unisys of 24 million Swedish crowns ($2.9 million).

 

Under the terms of the agreement, Unisys will assume responsibility for managing Malmö Aviation’s central business applications and help desk, and also provide technical support on site.

 

Malmö Aviation’s servers will be consolidated and moved to Unisys operations centre in Alingsås, Sweden. Some of the company’s most critical applications will run on Unisys ES7000 Enterprise Servers.
