Unisys, Showing Momentum in IT Outsourcing, Listed in "Leaders" Quadrant in Analyst ReportsUnisys is helping clients achieve the benefits of secure business operations through IT outsourcing
BLUE BELL, Pa., March 28, 2006 – Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced that it has been listed in the "Leaders" quadrant in two recently released Magic Quadrant reports on outsourcing services providers from leading industry analyst firm Gartner, Inc. The reports cover the topics "North American Desktop Outsourcing Services 2005" and "North American Help Desk Outsourcing Services 2005."
The Gartner Magic Quadrant reports evaluate outsourcing services providers on both completeness of vision and ability to execute. The evaluation for completeness of vision includes analysis of the provider’s view of the market, service operating model, and strategic plans for growth and service improvements. The evaluation for ability to execute assesses the provider’s success in delivering results today and its preparation to do the same in the future.
In Gartner’s analysis, "Leaders" are those providers that are performing skillfully, have a clear vision of the market’s direction, and are actively building and improving the competencies required to sustain their leadership positions.
Unisys has established a strong position and accelerated momentum in IT outsourcing for distributed environments, encompassing servers, desktops, networks, and mobile devices such as laptops and PDAs. The distributed environment is the crucial point of client contact for enterprises and governments – where increasingly mobile workforces deliver services and generate revenue.
According to Gartner, the market for desktop and distributed IT support services remains a growing and evolving sector.
In recent months, Unisys has won numerous contracts to provide outsourced IT infrastructure management and support services for leading enterprises and government agencies worldwide.

Unisys was also listed in the "Leaders" quadrant of the 2005 Gartner Magic Quadrant report evaluating data center outsourcing services providers in North America.
