Robert Sprecher

Biography

Robert (Rob) Sprecher is Senior Manager for Justice and Public Safety with Unisys North America Public Sector, based in Centennial, Colo.  He is responsible for Corrections and Jail Management solutions and is well-versed in the areas of law enforcement and emergency management.  Rob brings to Unisys more than 25 years of experience in law enforcement and corrections management at the national, state and local levels.

Prior to joining Unisys, Rob provided strategic capital master planning services to the states of Wisconsin and South Dakota, along with an external communications plan for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.  This plan was published by the National Institute of Justice as the model for correctional public information officers.  As a consultant to the National Institute of Corrections, Rob provided technical assistance to local agencies in the United States in the areas of planning, staffing, training, direct supervision practices and activation of new institutions.

Rob also served as director of the Shelby County Division of Corrections and was a founding member of the Shelby County Crime Commission.  Here he was responsible for development of best practices in local corrections and led a committee tasked with establishing effective, cost-efficient correctional programs.

As a sworn law enforcement officer, Rob managed law enforcement intelligence records systems and served as a Deputy United States Marshal, providing security services in support of domestic counterterrorism.
