Charles Kneip

Biography

Charles Kneip is director of the Unisys Global Public Sector motor vehicle solutions practice, based in Sioux Falls, S.D.  In this position, Charles has responsibility for directing the staff of motor vehicle domain consultants and providing both motor vehicle consulting and management for the motor vehicle marketing efforts.

Prior to joining Unisys, Charles was the associate director of vehicle services for the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles.  In this position, he was responsible for evaluating the technology needs of agencies and analyzing new processes for benefits.  Charles also worked with the states of South Dakota and North Dakota to implement a statewide library information system that provided electronic access to information.  In addition, he provided domain consulting for reengineering the North Dakota Motor Vehicle Division, with the resulting system being the Vehicle Registration and Title System (VRTS).  Charles also provided consulting for the implementation of the new Indiana BMV STARS application. He currently serves as chairman of the Industry Advisory Board for the American Association of Motor Vehicles Administrators (AAMVA), and represents Unisys at conferences and symposiums.
