Biography

Cal Steiner is a partner in Unisys Federal Systems, where he is responsible for solution services strategy and delivery for the General Services Administration Federal Supply Service (GSA FSS).  This comprises delivery of the full Unisys portfolio of services and technology including IT consulting, application support, ClearPath servers and application hosting services.  Cal is based in Reston, Va.

 

Since joining Unisys in 1974, Cal has held a number of management and line positions ranging from systems analyst to practice director.  His background is in systems and solutions integration, and he has considerable experience managing large, complex Federal IT programs.  He co-led the Federal group’s Microsoft solutions practice and creation of the Unisys Center of Excellence in Virginia.  He also led several e-Government capture efforts and has experience in federal enterprise architecture and other Office of Management and Budget (OMB) related initiatives.  In 2001, Cal led the capture of the GSA FAME program, which has become the cornerstone of Unisys business at GSA.  With more than 200 architects, engineers and consultants, this is the largest application development and maintenance support contract within Unisys.
