Biography

Bryan Ichikawa is a solutions architect with the Federal Systems organization, based in Reston, Va.  As a globally recognized expert in smart card and security technologies, Bryan provides tactical assistance to qualify, win and deliver new business opportunities that utilize these technologies. Bryan is also responsible for representing Unisys in worldwide industry and standards organizations for smart cards.

 

Before joining Unisys, Bryan was senior director, Thomson Media, where he directed their Cardtech/SecurTech (CTST) conference and exposition business.  He was responsible for marketing, sales, program development, operations and development and delivery of CTST products.  He also led new product development and retooling of current business models to adapt to industry changes.

 

Prior to Thomson Media, Bryan was executive director, SPYRUS, where he had overall responsibility for management of the vertical markets and program management practices to include market development, partner development, corporate marketing support, sales support and customer management.  During his tenure at SPYRUS, Bryan developed the vertical markets business practice for the law enforcement, energy, government, healthcare and financial services industries.  He led the effort to bring reference accounts to revenue producing status by deploying and growing SPYRUS PKI solutions.

 

Bryan is a contributing author to, “Smart Cards – Seizing Strategic Business Opportunities,” published by McGraw-Hill.  He also holds two patents in network and data communications.
