Interoperability and Integrated Security Programs

Secure Border Initiative (SBInet)

Unisys provides all the information technology and information systems integration for SBInet.  We provide the Common Operating Picture (COP), command, control, communication and dispatch system – the nerve center of SBInet – to border stations, agent vehicles, handheld devices, and sector and agency headquarters.  We also provide:

• Surveillance, detection and targeting systems between and at Ports of Entry
• All IT infrastructure, both mobile and fixed, including network and security monitoring, and operations and maintenance
• Open Source intelligence solutions to provide actionable indicators of changes in illegal migration and smuggling; new analytical tools for detecting patterns and predicting illegal activity; and
• Law enforcement information-sharing systems, biometric systems and radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to ensure the effective identification, processing and removal of illegal aliens.

Intelligent Mobile Response

Unisys Intelligent Mobile Response enables interoperable radio communications between systems of different manufacturers, standards, frequency spectrum, etc., as well as other devices including telephones, PDAs, computers, etc.

Information Sharing & Management Framework

The Unisys Information Sharing & Management Framework supports and integrates all of the key business processes required to process cases through the justice system, including:  pushing and pulling information electronically from one agency system to another at critical points within the justice process; single query access to aggregate criminal justice information from all participating agencies; and notification services to provide justice officials with key data at critical points within the justice process.

Previstar Continual Preparedness System

Previstar is designed from the ground up to support all-hazard, multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional incidents.  It handles communications, knows where resources, both human and equipment are, geocodes that information onto maps, and keeps a searchable, electronic filing cabinet of documents, incident plans, task lists, maps, floor plans and incident plans. Previstar has applicability for emergency managers, but also fits into the requirements of public safety, including first responders and terrorism planners, who want to identify, geocode and digitize critical infrastructure; track people, equipment, disease vehicles and supplies; build plans and conduct exercises.  From Agroterrorism to Pandemic Flu, public health is more active in how to plan for, respond to, and recover from an incident than ever before.  To support them, we have pre-built models and a custom model builder, as well as volunteer credentialing and other public health content.

Border Crossing ID Verification

The Unisys Border Crossing ID Verification Solution combines document authentication and biometric identity verification technologies in a desktop kiosk that can be integrated with national and international watch lists, providing border control officials with a tool that increases efficiency and reduces the risk of error at airport and other border control points.

Secure Citizen Identity

eID Solution

The Unisys eID Solution supports and integrates key business processes, including application and enrollment, card issuance and quality assurance, and point-of-service verification and authorization. Using fixed or portable ID verification devices, the Unisys eID Solution can support a comprehensive national identification program as well as specific government-related services and activities, such as voter registration, driver services and vehicle services. Other potential applications include immigration or temporary worker registration, health and social services eligibility and benefit distribution.

Secure Traveler Identity

e-Passport Solution

The Unisys e-Passport Solution supports and integrates key business processes, including enrollment and identity verification for passports, visas and other travel documents; document issuance; and quality assurance. Identity may be verified using our portable ID verification solution.

Registered Traveler Solution

Unisys offers a complete end-to-end Registered Traveler Solution that provides enrollment services, checkpoint verification kiosks, comprehensive customer service and credential issuance. This solution is designed with interoperability compliance in mind, and guarantees interoperability with all programs adhering to the standard.

SafePass Solution

The Unisys SafePass Solution demonstrates new capabilities for the processing of arriving passengers, including U.S. residents, foreign nationals with visa waiver status and foreign nationals without visa waiver status. It also offers the ability to complete U.S. Customs entry forms.

Unisys Enterprise Fraud Prevention solutions are built with our partner Actimize on a  single, robust, scalable anti-fraud platform that leverages a unique, multi-dimensional profile approach to detecting suspicious patterns and behaviors. Solution packages provide fraud detection and prevention capabilities in distinct business areas while leveraging the benefits of the Enterprise Fraud Platform. Pre-package fraud prevention solutions are available to address insider fraud; check fraud; cross-channel fraud over multiple payment types like ACH, Wire, ATM, Debit, Credit and Check; and card fraud. Each fraud prevention solution incorporates cross channel customer activity monitoring for a more complete customer view and can be tailored to fit your dynamic business needs and environment.  The solutions also offer built-in support for both batch and real-time detection.

Secure Document Delivery

In partnership with Striata, Unisys offers companies a modular software solution, designed to facilitate the electronic delivery and presentation of documents and bills through secure email delivery. This solution provides for multiple delivery channels including email and fax, as well as payment collection channels such as web and contact centre interfaces. Administration of the system is made simple through the secure web interface, enabling users to initiate, monitor and report on system activity. The solution offers a range of security options, designed for the most stringent of security requirements, to the most flexible and user-friendly.

Identity Theft and Check Fraud Solutions:

Check ImageMask

Unisys, in collaboration with The 41st Parameter and its ImageMask technology, provides a solution that allows financial institutions to provide necessary check information without exposing sensitive data. ImageMask is a wrapper function around your existing image content. It takes the scanned document image and blurs sensitive parts before presenting it to the end user. Your typical delivery process and image remain intact, processing time is negligible and no duplicate images are generated.

Automated Check Image Analysis for Increased Fraud Prevention

Working in partnership with Kappa Image, Unisys offers an automated check image fraud analysis solution. This solution provides increased accuracy while lowering the monetary threshold so that more check images for lower amounts can be examined with higher success of identifying real fraud events, and less false positives.

PhishingNet™

Unisys and The 41st Parameter have joined together to offer PhishingNet, which enables forensic identification of computers to provide increased visibility into each login attempt and protect sensitive customer data. The comprehensive analytics engine, comprised of more than 200 separate algorithms, offers a complete case management tool for efficient investigation and accurate analysis of fraudulent logins. PhishingNet gathers more than 40 parameters from the user's machine, and by computing over 270 algorithms to assess potential risk. The results yield a 'digital fingerprint ' and help differentiate each individual PC visiting a website regardless of past registration, the credentials presented or the Internet connection (IP address).

Open Payments Platform

Unisys has developed an Open Payments Platform to meet the demands faced by banks in maintaining and growing their payments business. The Unisys Open Payments Platform is based on a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Bank Payment Hub—from Unisys partner Clear2Pay—that includes proven components for external interfaces, and for the validation, processing and management of payments. The components can be quickly orchestrated with Business Process Engineering Language (BPEL) rules into next generation payment solutions. A Payments Landing Zone feature of the Open Payments Platform consolidates data from multiple payment types and multiple sources into a single enterprise view. Integrated SOA solutions are available on the Open Payments Platform to solve many of today’s most demanding payment challenges such as high volume check image processing, SEPA Direct debit and credit transfer solutions, cross-border person-to-person payments, payment order management and wire transfer system replacement.

Oracle Payments Business Intelligence Accelerator

The Unisys-Oracle Payments Business Intelligence (BI) Accelerator provides business analytics based on a payments data warehouse. The solution enables consolidation of customer and payments data from multiple sources including payment transactions, customer information, cost and revenue data. The data warehouse supports reporting and analysis for payments business performance, customer profitability and risk management. Pre-defined business intelligence reports and tools to easily produce additional reports and analytics are included with the solution.
