New Features Release 3.3

Release 3.3 includes features that enhance the workstation-based Developer, improve performance, and add many new and exciting features in the realm of graphical client interfaces and interoperability.

 

Features that had previously only been available in the Graphical Interface Workbench (formerly PowerClient) have been incorporated into the Developer Painter to make it easier for application development personnel to use Developer.

  • Reporting on the differences between different versions of a model
  • Host Subsystem Screens
  • Bulk options for DMS II features
  • Host Database access from Developer Test for OS2200 and Windows
  • Developer Generate Performance Improvements

Features that improve your ability to tune your application for a particular runtime host environment include:

  • Keywords allow users to associate multiple “data fragments” with a single data item.
  • When the data item is displayed on a screen, the data fragments appear to the viewer as individual data items.
