New Next-Generation ClearPath Dorado 400 SeriesThe ClearPath Dorado 400 Series Servers are the first members of the Dorado family based on the ClearPath Next-Generation Server Architecture. This revolutionary server features the OS 2200 operating system running on Intel® processors – bringing the power and robust functionality of the ClearPath operating system to the best of industry-standard technology. This entry-level series of servers delivers all the true mainframe attributes – high levels of security, availability, and reliability– that OS 2200 users expect. At the same time, these servers bring mainstream attributes such as flexibility and openness to ClearPath OS 2200 environments. And, as with every OS 2200-based system, these servers offer total code and data compatibility. Existing applications can be carried forward to the Dorado 400 Series without the need for recompilation or re-linking. For organizations, looking for a low-risk path to modernize, the Dorado 400 Series is an integral component. It runs all OS 2200 applications running on previous OS 2200-based platforms without recompilation or re-linking. It also uses the same input/output components as Dorado 300 Series Servers, so all storage supported by the Dorado Series 300 can be utilized on the Dorado Model 420. This is a non-metered server with traditional licensing models.

They deliver the robust functionality and true mainframe attributes including the utmost security, availability and reliability that OS 2200 users expect. At the same time, the system provides mainstream attributes such as agility and openness to ClearPath OS 2200 environments. Dorado 300 Servers deliver high performance not only for your business-critical core systems, but also for your Microsoft Windows, Linux and Java mission-critical applications. The Dorado Model 300 Series consists of traditional peak buying models – servers with fixed performance levels for regular use, at the expected maximum performance. These include the high-end Dorado Model 380, the mid-range Dorado Model 340 and the low- to mid-range Dorado Model 320 server. The equivalent, metered Pay-for-Use servers are the high-end Dorado Model 390, the mid-range Dorado Model 350 and the low- to mid-range Dorado Model 330 Servers. These two types of buying models and three ranges of system capacities, together with pricing based on workload types, offer you a complete range of buying flexibility.
High-end ClearPath Plus Dorado Model 380 server
The Dorado Model 380 server is the latest, state-of-the-art mainframe platform with both traditional and mainstream capabilities. It leverages the core mainframe attributes while taking advantage of advancements in automation, openness and agility. With up to 32 instruction processors, the Dorado 380 Server offers you significant performance advantages over earlier Dorado models. The new processor design offers twice the performance of the Dorado 180 processor and more than twice the performance when you operate it as a 32-instruction-processor configuration. Using the XPC-L record lock processor, you can cluster as many as four Dorado 380 Servers, enabling growth of up to 128 OS 2200 processors – all accessing both the same shared and their own local databases. Besides providing total system growth, a fully redundant XPC-L configuration gives you immediate failover capabilities among hosts, thus assuring you extreme high availability. The Dorado 380 is appropriate for those business-critical operations with the greatest high-volume demand, such as airline reservations, financial transactions, social services records and many other business needs. The Unisys OS 2200 operating system can run Business Information Server (BIS) and the Enterprise Application Environment (EAE). Mid-range ClearPath Dorado Model 340 serverThe Dorado 340 delivers mid-range performance with true mainframe functionality, while offering most of the same attributes as the high-end Dorado 380. The maximum processor performance is controlled to allow just the performance levels required by low- to mid-range OS 2200 users. However the Dorado 320 maintains the considerable flexibility of the larger models and has the capability for in-place upgrades to the larger Dorado 340 and Dorado 380 models.
