Transaction Integration Distributed Transaction IntegrationDistributed Transaction Integration is broadly featured and robust middleware that allows the integration of ClearPath servers with many platforms, application types and databases. With Distributed Transaction Integration, Web and non-Web based client applications can give a new user group access to ClearPath transactions and data, or can participate in coordinated transactional updates to databases that reside on ClearPath and other platforms.
Distributed Transaction Integration is also bidirectional: It allows ClearPath applications to act as either clients or services with applications on other systems. This means that ClearPath applications can either request services from an external system or provide services to an external system. Bidirectionality between ClearPath and other platforms is provided for Microsoft .Net and Java EE applications; global (two-phase commitment of) transactions are supported for Microsoft .Net. Distributed Transaction Integration also supports use of SOAP-based Web services.
Distributed Transaction Integration integrates native TIP/HVTIP transactions running on OS 2200 systems and Open Distributed Transaction Processing transactions running on OS 2200 and MCP systems. All of the capabilities of the previous Transaction Integrator and Open Transaction Integrator middleware products are now bundled in Distributed Transaction Integration. |
