Transaction Integration
ClearPath MCP Interface to Microsoft Transaction Integrator
Unisys has extended Microsoft's Transaction Integrator (formerly known as COMTI) to the ClearPath MCP environment. It enables you to integrate MCP transactions with component-based Windows applications in a service-oriented architecture. ClearPath MCP Interface to Microsoft Transaction Integrator allows you to combine the benefits of existing standards-based presentation and Web technologies with the scalability, reliability and availability of Unisys Transaction Server (COMS) applications. You can leverage the best technology of both environments to create solutions that provide real solutions for the real world. Retain familiar MCP-based transaction APIs, allowing maximum re-use of existing transactions. Utilize the productivity of Microsoft based development tools and the talent pool that is familiar with them. Developers see MCP based transaction in a familiar object-oriented paradigm. Take advantage of the Microsoft Web technologies including load balancing (WLBS), Web site, proxy and certificate servers. Utilize the scalability and reliability provided by COM+ including connection pooling and recovery to provide a manageable, low-impact, cost-effective solution. Take advantage of an object-oriented programming environment - use the latest tools for the design of new solutions. ClearPath MCP Interface to Microsoft Transaction Integrator is integrated with standard Windows administrative tools including Microsoft Management Console, Performance Monitor, Event Log, etc., allowing you to leverage existing skills. Take advantage of coordinated updates across multiple databases. Some solutions require the capability to update multiple databases in a reliable way. Utilize a standard networking protocol (TCP/IP) for a familiar, reliable, optimized connection on the ClearPath platform.
