Message Queuing MQSeries for ClearPath OS 2200

MQSeries for ClearPath OS 2200 is message-oriented middleware. It allows OS 2200 applications to securely and reliably exchange messages with applications on a wide range of operating systems and platforms.

MQSeries for ClearPath OS 2200 provides industry-standard MQSeries message queuing capabilities integrated with the OS 2200 transaction, recovery and communications architecture. MQSeries for ClearPath OS 2200 is based on IBM MQSeries and was developed by Unisys under license from IBM.

MQSeries for ClearPath OS 2200 integrates ClearPath IX TIP/HVTIP programs, batch programs and Open/OLTP services with other MQSeries applications. OS 2200 applications can use MQSeries to communicate with applications on a wide range of platforms. The mechanics of the underlying infrastructure of the message-oriented middleware and communications transport is transparent to the application.

MQSeries is ideal for integrating applications having these characteristics:

• Run on several different platforms, such as IBM OS/390, Sun Solaris, Microsoft Windows, HP-UX and IBM OS/400
• Demand reliable, secure and recoverable message delivery
• Can run independently with or without an active network connection, depending on business requirements
