Migrating Applications and Databases

Unisys designs and delivers a true alternative to UNIX that enables the migration of your applications and databases to an open environment. In addition to our own services professionals, Unisys leverages its experienced resource pool of proven systems integrators and alliance partners to optimally deliver the total solution globally, including ISV and packaged applications re-hosting and custom migration.

• Since most ISVs’ applications and major database distributions already run on multiple platforms, we can typically re-host or “re-platform” these applications and database to a new system.
• For applications running custom COBOL and RPG applications, we provide an automated code port to simply re-host the ‘ported’ legacy application on the new open platform, with back-end databases either intact or migrated to SQL Server, Oracle or DB2.
• For applications that are customized ANSI, C, C+ or Fortran, we can provide a full complement of re-write, re-compile and re-host services.
