Benchmarks TPC-C Benchmark: 8 processor, 64-bit Intel Xeon MP based system

On November 7, 2005, the ES7000/600 set a new standard for performance and leading price/performance for an 8-processor Intel-based system.

The Unisys ES7000/600 8-way server recorded 251,691 tpmC at $3.64/tpmC applying the power of the IntelŽ XeonŽ processor MP at 3.33 GHz and 8 MB of Level 3 cache and Microsoft's SQL Server 2005 Enterprise x64 Edition database running on the Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x64 Edition operating system.

This benchmark proves the ES7000/600 delivers the best performance of any 8x Intel-based system and the best price/performance of any system over a 4x.

You can review the results by going to the TPC-C Advanced sort results on the TPC website.

You will need to select

  • All vendors
  • Number of CPUs - descending
  • TpmC - descending
  • Check the server CPU box
  • And scroll down to the 8 processor systems.

About TPC-C

The TPC-C benchmark simulates a complete computing environment where users execute transactions against a database. It is centered around the principal activities (transactions) of an order-entry environment.  You can learn more about the TPC-C methodology on the TPC.org website.
