Best performance ever recorded

SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer and Demand Planning benchmark validates the world-class performance and scalability of a Unisys ES7000 Aries 420 server with sixteen 64-bit Intel® Itanium® 2 processors running Microsoft Windows 2003. 

In October 2003, a 16-processor Unisys ES7000 Aries 420 Enterprise Server running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 achieved the best performance ever recorded for a server measured by the SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer and Demand Planning (APO-DP) benchmark, processing 586,319 characteristic combinations per hour. According to previously recorded SAP APO-DP benchmark results, this latest ES7000 server benchmark topped the performance of the previous SAP APO-DP record holder – a UNIX-based IBM p690 server – by 24 percent!
