Unisys Corporate Real Estate and General Services (CREGS) team helps managers provide effective workspace and tools for their employees. Unisys CREGS (also known as Unisys Real Estate) supports more than 140 Unisys sites around the world. CREGS is responsible to restore the sites spread across different locations in a timely and efficient manner to help ensure business continuity. Disaster recovery and business continuity are the key performance indicators for CREGS.
The CREGS team must take immediate action the moment a business continuity situation arises at any of their supported Unisys locations. They are on the front line as they take the very first step, which is alerting the authorized individuals, after an incident has occurred. This makes their task especially crucial. To meet these demands, Unisys ITSM was implemented as the alert and reporting system for CREGS. This robust, more modern tool, compared to the existing tool used by the CREGS team, allowed them not just greater ease of use but higher productivity and efficiency as well.
CREGS needed a reliable, robust and modern tool to report these incidents in an efficient and timely manner. Unisys ITSM Instance was chosen for implementation as it had proven abilities of relaying incidents in real time. 24/7 support is available on Unisys ITSM, and we have the in-house capability to support and maintain this tool, as well as to enhance its functionality.
One of the main criteria for CREGS was to have a tool that is not complicated and cumbersome, as the team comprised non-technical professionals who needed to alert authorized individuals during a crisis. While Unisys ITSM has been traditionally implemented for IT processes, it made for an unusual implementation as this was targeted at the CREGS team. The idea was to implement an easy to use and dynamic tool to enable this team to alert the authorities about critical issues immediately. Unisys ITSM fulfils all of the criteria specified by the CREGS team, and hence was chosen for implementation.
