Air Canada Extends Agreement for Unisys Cloud-Based Cargo Systems
One of the earliest adopters of Unisys cloud services, Air Canada is now collaborating with Unisys to develop innovations such as cargo mobility to benefit the wider cargo community
BLUE BELL, Pa., May 10, 2016 – Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced that Air Canada Cargo – Canada's largest provider of air cargo services as measured by cargo capacity – has extended its agreement for the cloud-based Unisys Logistics Management System (LMS) to manage its domestic and international cargo services, as well as Unisys' Cargo Portal Services and In-transit Service Manager.
A long-time Unisys client and active member of the Unisys Cargo User Group (UCUG), Air Canada was one of the earliest adopters of Unisys cloud services in 1997. The carrier conducted a full evaluation of options before choosing the speed and flexibility of Unisys' LMS solution. The cloud-based delivery model includes monthly updates and faster speed-to-market than traditional software operation.
