Unisys among 46 companies awarded IDIQ contract with a total value of up to $30 billion over eight years
BLUE BELL, Pa., December 21, 2010 – The FBI awarded a contract to Unisys (NYSE: UIS) to compete for task orders under the Information Technology Supplies and Support Services (IT Triple S) contract for information technology hardware, software and services such as applications modernization, integration, and operations and maintenance.
Under the indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, Unisys will have the opportunity to compete to provide services and products to the FBI in support of the agency’s mission to protect the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, and to enforce the country’s criminal laws.
Unisys is one of 46 companies awarded an IT Triple S IDIQ contract capped at $30 billion over eight years. The contract is open for use by any organization within the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).
The contract award builds on Unisys work for the FBI and DOJ, such as the FBI’s Next Generation Combined DNA Index System (CODIS), the DOJ Asset Forfeiture Management program, and the Bureau of Prisons Inmate Telephone System. In addition, Unisys in the past two years has won awards from DOJ for exceeding its goals for partnering with small businesses, a key requirement of IT Triple S.
“This contract represents an opportunity for Unisys to work with the FBI to provide our experience and expertise in support of a broader array of the agency’s mission,” said Venkatapathi “PV” Puvvada, vice president and managing partner, civilian agencies, Unisys Federal Systems. “We look forward to expanding our work with the FBI and DOJ to help them achieve their vital objectives to protect the United States.”

All forward-looking statements rely on assumptions and are subject to various risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results to differ materially from expectations. In particular, under multiple award IDIQ contracts there is no guarantee that any contract recipient will be awarded any task order. Further, because agreements with government agencies are terminable before the end of their terms and are subject to the availability of appropriated funds, there is no guarantee that any task orders will be awarded by the government or that any awarded task orders will continue for their full term. Additional discussion of factors that could affect Unisys future results is contained in periodic filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
