Agencies across government trust Unisys to deliver complex IT solutions – on time and on budget. Here are a few examples of how we support our clients and their missions:
Agriculture: Rural Development’s (RD) engaged Unisys to support its mission to promote home ownership and develop a Guaranteed Underwriting System that automates the loan underwriting process. Results include decreased stress and underwriting decision wait times for homebuyers; reduced cost and time with manual underwriting processes for lenders; and for RD, the system reduces risk through more standardized processes, improves loan portfolio performance and enables more consistent underwriting decisions.
Federal Bureau of Investigation: We deliver the Combined DNA Indexing System, containing offender profiles for rapid identification.
Federal Financial Institution Examination Council: We modernized the central data repository serving all U.S. banks, resulting in reduced response time of more than three days to less than three hours; and reduced time for public availability of call report data from over one week to 24 hours.
General Services Administration: We performed the first federal agency migration to cloud-based email and collaboration tools in government-moving 17,000 GSA employees to Google Apps for Government in less than six months. GSA estimates that moving to Google Apps will lower email costs by 50 percent, saving more than $15 million over five years. GSA’s large mobile workforce can now access work information anywhere, anytime; and has modern and real-time collaboration tools that help employees work together more effectively.
Interior: The Unisys Team helped to migrate the Interior’s SAP financial management system to a cloud-based platform. This is the first known instance of an SAP migration from a government data center to a government cloud offered by a commercial cloud service provider—helping to lower costs and provide highly accessible services to users.
Internal Revenue Service: In the first on-demand storage as a service via private cloud, Unisys planned, built, deployed and maintains a storage environment that transitioned more than 7.5 petabytes previously housed in multiple IRS data centers and facilities. In the first full year of deployment, the IRS achieved a 30 percent cost savings with Unisys’ innovative, pay-as-you-go, private cloud solution.
Justice: We provide support to the Asset Forfeiture Program’s Consolidated Asset Tracking System (CATS), the program’s centerpiece and the system that holds the data related to assets from the time they are seized by the government to when they are forfeited and auctioned off, repurposed or returned. Unisys maintains, enhances, modernizes and operates CATS software and other related systems; and delivers associated services for help desk, security and systems integration.
National Archives and Records Administration transitioned from its legacy environment by moving 4,500 users to Google Apps for Government with Unisys as its partner. This highly-collaborative, cloud-based project includes an integrated records management solution that meets the extremely high standards of our nation’s record keeper-helping the agency to safeguard and preserve U.S. government records.
