Dheeraj Kohli is a vice president at Unisys where he serves as the global leader for the travel and transportation practice. In this capacity, he oversees the assessment of existing services, leads the development of new industry solution offerings and sets the strategic vision for the company’s well-established travel and transportation business.
He has more than 25 years of experience in the transportation industry featuring an extensive client advisory background having worked with some of the leading Fortune 500 brands across industry sectors, including railroads, airlines, airports, logistics, hospitality and aviation.
Dheeraj has successfully advised his clients on emerging business models to plan, develop and execute on digital business strategies, driven by digital value chains, and within digital ecosystems. Having lived in Singapore, South Africa, Canada, India and the United States, he has developed a broad understanding of diverse cultures and the unique characteristics of conducting business in a global, interconnected marketplace. He is a recognized thought leader on concepts such as the connected traveler, seamless passenger and customer experience, and around industry specific solutions and disruptive technologies like IoT, wearables, mobility, beacons, cloud, big data, predictive analytics and the “art of the possible”.
Prior to joining Unisys, Dheeraj directed the aviation sector for Capgemini in North America and expanded the company’s vertical footprint in the region. In that role, he oversaw a team of sales and solution architects that cut across all service lines, including activities related to digital go-to-market, identifying and evangelizing digital business and piloting emerging technologies and innovations relevant to the industry.
In 2017 Dheeraj was appointed to the Southern Methodist University (SMU) Digital Accelerator Advisory Board.
Dheeraj has also played key leadership roles at two industry organizations, holding positions of associate vice president of HCL Technologies in North America, and the head of airlines and airports for Tata Consultancy Services.
