About Saint-Paul-de-Vence

Dating back to the 11th Century, the medieval village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence lies nestled amid scenic foothills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea on the world-renowned French Riviera – the Cote d' Azur. St.-Paul-de-Vence is the 'jewel' of the Nice countryside and enchants each visitor with the splendor of its views and the charm of its rich cultural and artistic heritage.

The Foundation Maeght, one of the most splendid museums of modern art in the world, local artists and craftsmen, art galleries, and the Museum of Local History are all part of the beauty of this treasured village. It is justifiably a photographer's paradise, featuring narrow, winding cobblestone streets, unblemished architecture and a historic cathedral. Strolling by provincial, outdoor bistros, you may even try your hand at the French game of boules.

The village is just walking distance from the Unisys International Management Centre, so be sure to bring walking shoes to accommodate the cobblestones and the uphill return to the Centre. St.-Paul-de-Vence is located about 12 miles/20 kms from Nice and 19 miles/30 kms from Cannes. It is less than an hour's drive to Monte Carlo and Italy to the East, and Saint-Raphael and Saint-Tropez to the West. In general the Cote d'Azur enjoys a warm summer and mild winter climate.
